Telefonica and Capita O2 in Glasgow are supporting the Maryhill food bank this festive season with a collection of food and toys to help give children across greater Glasgow a happy Christmas. Maryhill food bank visited the O2 building on Friday 13 December to take delivery of the donations to date.
Tara and Julie from Maryhill food Bank have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the staff saying "A huge thank you to everyone for donations that will make a real difference to families this Christmas."
Carinna McMillan co-ordinates the charity and community activity for the site. She said, "This year we have helped more than 900 young people in Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire gain digital skills and work experience and help with CV writing. At Christmas we wanted to help young people in another way and so far we've had over 160 toys and gifts, and over 200 other items, donated for the food bank."
