The workshop was again set up in a carousel-style where we spoke to around 140 S1 pupils in groups of 10. We discussed a range of subjects including math, how prominent numbers are in the workplace in forms of statistics, wages, bills, sales stock, customers, media and information collating for advertising.
With some pupils working out billing calculations, some worked out how many customers we had world-wide as well as how many texts are sent at New Year. With all groups subject to maths and its importance in the workplace most of the pupils enjoyed the workshop and particularly the skive from classes! However, what they didn't realise is that their maths knowledge they had been practising were put to good use in the session with our Think Big reps..
