Yesterday was a busy day for our Think Biggers in the Glasgow muggy heat. A few noses were burnt, hands pricked with nettles but a garden was helped cleared of weeds and rubble to make way for topsoil and wild flower seeds..
Helping Kate Morrison -Environmental Coordinator at Maryhill's Community Central Hall with their Climate Challenge, we helped transform a new patch of land into a future a little green patch of heaven!
With help from some young volunteers from Princes Trust painting the garden tubs recycled from wooden pallates, we got down to some dirty work. We're no Beechgrove Garden crew, but we did ourselves proud on our first attempt on a few hours work with our forks, shovels and wheelbarrows.
Dedicating a few hours and at least a dozen pair of hands we got muddy, hot and a barrow-full of satisfaction through turning our fingers a lovely shade of green. Think Bigger Tony Day said " Genuinely loved it, was a fun day and think we worked very well as a team!"
